Meditative Weekend

The Plan - June 24-26;  July 2&3   August Full Moon..

This year, we are changing how we offer the space here at Chantry Farm.  Its an opportunity to ground ourselves in these crazy times.  So, everyone is welcome to join us in a semi structured informal ‘retreat’ with a gentle schedule:  


The resources here are plentiful, the land is historically sacred - back to the Bronze Age monuments.. and both Beki and Kay, your hosts, have each been trained in Tibetan Buddhist practice for decades (as nuns for nearly 20 years), with your participation, its a fine combination for making the best of time with nature.

Weekend schedule 

Friday - arrival 2pm - 8pm Check in and relax.  


10am  Introductory Meditation Instruction - good for beginners et all (20mins)

10.20 Sitting - silent, relaxed, group practice (20mins).

Short break

10.45  Finding Space - sitting, lying, moving - as you like, at your pitch or up in a spot of your choice around the farm



11.30 - 4pm  Own time for cooking your lunch, walks.. enjoying the vast views ... 


4.30 Tibetan Buddhist sadhana practice (for example Medicine Buddha chanted by Beki, Kay.. with a v short explanation (5 mins).  As the chanting is in Tibetan, this is an opportunity to sit, again silently, and use sound as a support for meditation, and maybe feel a little blessed.   30 mins.

5.15 Film (we’ve got a big barn projector and screen)  Choice: a) Wandering but not Lost b)  Neither Wolf Nor Dog.

When you book, there is an optional £2 film ticket.  You vote on arrival!

7pm Free time and  Supper time.. maybe together - we’ve got 60m of tables.. bring your food if you wish.  

Sunday - check out by 1pm 

Optional to attend ‘Green Tara’ prayers - used in Tibetan practice for the dispelling of fear..  8am  30 mins.   

10.30 Loving Kindness Meditation - guided.  20 mins to send you on your way with a big heart.
